4th gen rear
Im sure this has been asked a million times, and if it has im sorry, i checked the tech files and didnt see anything, So basically I can pick up a 10 bolt out of a 99 z28, it has posi which is basically why I want it because I have open diff on my rearend and it has a whole lot of miles. I have about 400 hp will a 10 bolt handle this? Is there anything I can do to make it stonger. Will it bolt up no problem or will there have to be things changed, thanks for the help

I couldn't tell ya about whether the 10bolt will handle 400HP, but I am venturing to say that you should be fine with it, unless you tear on it consistently.
I just installed a 4th Gen. rear in mine, it's a snap. Mine was out of at least a 97+ camaro. The only difference was going from drum brakes to the disc brakes. You may need to upgrade your master cylinder/proportioning valve, do a search on it. I'm still researching for options on what I should do to improve the rear disc brake situation on mine.
Like I said, it should be a snap. Everything bolts right up!
Good luck!

well a 99 z28 would have a ls1 right, they have alot of power and people upgrade those cars alot and havent had many rear end problems..
go for it, most likely way stronger than the factory 10 bolts on thirdgens..
