Teeth missing on ring gear

My 89 formula was vibrating for about a month and i couldn't figure out what it was until last friday when i took off from a light and heard a loud bang in the rear end. I took the rear end cover off and i'm missing some teeth on the ring gear and the pinion. My question is how hard is it to install a new ring and pinion? What brand of gear should i buy? I don't want another stock GM gear set. I have a 3.43 gear now. I was thinking about going with a 3.73. I do like to race those Mustangs every chance i get. Thanks for any help i get!

i like richmond gears but they're cut a little differant for more strength and make more noise. it's not hard to set up gears but requires tools most people don't have like, press ,bearing seperator or pullers, 0-1 mike or dial caliper, 2-3 depth mikeor dial caliper or a pinion setting tool, dial indicator and mag base, dial type in/lbs torque wrench. "special tool" for holding the pinion yoke, and i have a piece i made to act as a datum to measure pinion depth.
