Tranny Rebuild Suggestions Please...
It looks like I need the 4L60 in my 92 GTA rebuilt.
I was going to use ProBuilt for the rebuild but I'm going to go with a shop in my town so that it can be installed by them so I can get a full warranty on everything being that they are the one's that will make the final adjustments and not me.
Now, I want a tranny that will handle up to about 500 ft/tq and I want the shifts to be very firm but not neck jarring, as long as they are very positive shifts I'm happy. I also want to get the 4th gear WOT mod installed too (I love top speed).
So, what parts would you guys suggest I tell the tranny place to install? I've heard Kevlar bands are good, anything else? I know the shop is going to have their own suggestions but I'd like to hear some from you guys.
Thanks!

Stay away from "kevlar" anything, use the Borg Warner Hi-Energy 2-4 band & 3-4 clutches, and standard Borg Warner clutches everywhere else. There is a lot more to getting the 700R4 to last and shift right than just these couple of things. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but very few people know how to build this unit right.
