Need answers, please help!

I blew my ring and pinion out of my 89 formula that had a 9 bolt rear end in it. I was able to pick up a 10 bolt cheap so i took it. I'm not sure that was the right thing to do. Anyways both rear ends have disc brakes but i would like to use the ones from my 89 formula. Can I take the mountimg brackets off of the 9 bolt and put them on the 10 bolt rear end? On the 10 bolt the disc brakes are mounted strange. One caliper is facing the front of the car and the other is facing the back. Is that normal? I never saw that before. Thanks for any help i can get, i would like to swap the rear ends this weekend if its not to cold! Thanks again.

Hmmm, getting close to the weekend and no responses...

I was under the impression (no expert here, sorry) that the disk brakes were the same regardless of axle type. But, no clue about the different facing direction question. Only 9-bolt I've seen had them both facing the same way.

At least you're back up at the top now...
