Will this tranny work?

I have a 3.4 engine and tranny. I m putting the engine in place of my 3.1 I know it will bolt up too my tranny thats in my 91 now. But I wanna know if the tranny that I have w/ the 3.4 will fit in my car. The tranny is a 700R4 and thats whats in my 91 now. Will the newer tranny be long enuff? The 3.4 and tranny came out of a 93 camaro. I m just worried the drive shaft will be either too long or short. If so I have a driveshaft shop wright dwn the road from my office.

Should work... they're the same size and all that. Same length. The only problem I can see is if the newer one is a 4L60E instead of a 700; externally the same, but electronically controlled rather than the old-fashioned hydraulic methods.

GM switched in 94 to the 4L60E tranny. I lucked out when I found that out . The tranny is a 700R4 w/ that 3.4 I just wanted to make sure they were the same length

Yup, all they did was change the name to 4L60 in 93 and went to the 4L60"E" in 94

I did a few searches a came across some of your posts saying that you had family here or something and drive your car here from time to time. But the weird part is, I used to live in Tomball for a few years when I was a kid.
