Does anyone have a toploader in there car or intends on putting one in.
Any info would be apreciated as i have one sitting in the garage that i want to put in.

I have no idea how you would mount a TL Ford, which is designed to be used on a BBF, to a SBC. Personally, even if i could get it to fit, i wouldn't use one. They were good trannies back in thier day, but they dont compare to whats come out in the last 20 years.

They were POS's back in the day too. The top loader is useless in a car, you would have to cut the floor out to even use it and since its a fnord all kinds of custon crap would need to be installed. If you reeeaaallly want a stick (on the cheap) nab a saginaw 3 speed standard there easy to find and would be alot easyer to install.Besides with a toploader you wouldent use 1st gear anyways, the second you let off the clutch in 1st its time to shift not even good for a little burnout.
