The transmission will cost you $1395.00 outright, and the A.C.T. 9.5" lockup will run $565.00. Both come with a one year warranty, and the TC comes with a free one time stall change in the first year if needed. I need to know the duration of the camshaft at .050 lift, & the lobe centers? If you do not have the ECM to lockup the torque converter, then you can use the GM vacuum setup, cost for this is about $35.00. Let me know?

Dana,
what do you think about this TCC Lock-up on your Transmission or should I use the GM Parts. Please list the part and numbers with response.
Thanks: David

The part numbers for the GM vacuum lockup are 14014519 for the vacuum switch, and 12102606 for the connecter. This setup will work with my 700R4 transmission. I would recommend a resistor wire from the "hot" source to the switch. I need all the particulars on the motor?, and the rear end gear ratio you are planning on using?, but from what you have told me so far I would say that the stall should be about 2,600 rpm. Is this a daily driver or a weekend warrior? Let me know?

Dana i was Thinking about this TCC lockup Kit, need your recommendation or shall I get the one with the GM Parts. This one seems very simple to install. Transmission is not my Forte'. The one that im interested in is the GM Cruise Control Switch for use in General Motors vehicle that uses the plunger style brake light switch. Take a look at this and let me know what you think:

DTL504: it looks to be ok.
badazz84camaro: It seems the stall should be about 2,600 rpm, if you want more and do not care if it slips a little more, then a 2,800 rpm stall speed will be fine. If you drive aggressively, you will like the higher stall, if not, you won't.

DOnt plan on getting good fuel economy with 2800 stall and 3.73 gears. hell dont plan on good fuel economy period with 3.73 gears. heh. nothing serious, just that some prefer fuel economy... and you just cant DO that with 2800 RPM of stall. Lockup helps ALOT on the highway, of course, but around town? forget it. I cant IMAGINE what your getting now with a TH350 and 3.73s, although i would imagine its worse than if you had overdrive, of course.
im mainly curious, cause I have th350 and 2.77 gears, what would 3.73's do to me? hmmm...

If you have the TH350 with a 2,800 rpm stall (without lockup) now, then the same stall with lockup and a 30% overdrive, you should pickup 3-4 MPG or more on the freeway. The price on the Street/Strip unit are $1395.00 outright and $565.00 for the A.C.T. lockup 9.5" torque converter. Both come with a one year warranty, and a free stall change on the TC if necessary. Let me know.
I have a 87 GTA with a 360 (350 .060 over) forged pistions, 10:7-1 cr, comp roller cam .510 lift, 220 I 230 E duration 114 lobe seperation, dart iron eagle II's 200 cc intake ports, LT1 intake, 30 lb injectors act 2800 stall converter but I have 3.27 gears, and I have seen 21 mph on a 200 mile trip, although I custom burn my own chips. All I am saying getting good mph should't be too much of a problem i think you should get around 15 or so.
