4L60bliss/probuilt/vader and the likes, i am working with a 98 Trans am with 83K miles. under normal acceleration the car runs up to 4500 rpm in first gear, and will not shift into second unless you let off the throttle a little. from second gear through o/d it shifts as normal and kicks down fine on the hiway, etc. just a problem with first gear. is it a bad upshift solenoid ? im not too familiar with these. Thanks in advance!

 

Are you sure its going into 4th? Did you check to see if it has Reverse as well? Sounds like something might be wrong w/ the band.

 

ill have to confirm 4th gear. my scantool only has cards up to 95 so it doesnt work with this thing. it works in reverse but i didnt try to load it to see if it has a delay to engage reverse. I'll see if i can get out there tonight and check it out. i will keep you informed!
