9 bolt axle vibration

I have a hell of an axle vibration coming from my passenger side on my TA. I thought maybe the axle was bent, so I put in another one that I had laying around. It still vibrates. I noticed when I had it apart that there is excessive play between the bearing and the race at the end of the axle tube. I think this is the source of my problem. My question is, how do I get rid of this play? Is there some way to shim the axle that will pull it in towards the center of the car like on a Mopar axle? Thx

I have the same problem. There seems to be too much endplay. The wheel bearings dont seem to be adjustable like say a front tapered wheel bearing where you tighten a nut to take out the play. You could replace the bearings which may help but I can still feel the rear of my car twitch as the wheel moves in and out.
