89' Corvette Converter good idea for 305 TPI
I have a chance to get a good deal on a 89' Corvette converter out of a L98 Corvette. Its the converter with the 2000 Stall. Would it be a wise to use this converter for an 85 IROC 305 TPI, 3.42 gears, Headers, Exhaust, and other small mods. I would appricate any answers. Thanks
yeah go for, thats a pretty good converter alot higher stall than the stock one..

Depends on what you consider "a good deal". You can get an L35 converter, which I believe has a little more stall speed than the corvette, and you can get them for about $140 w/ a 1 year warranty. Just remember, you have to completly remove the transmission to replace the converter, so make sure the effort is worth the gain.
