tranny advise/costs

I will be needing a new tranny when I put the car back together. Mine is already starting to slip. Any advise on what to go with and WHY? How much it will cost? I am looking for something durable that will handle a supercharged smallblock, making upwards of 500 hp. I will be running a s.b. blower motor w/ 10lbs of boost, and a superam. 3.45 rear for now.. maybe making even more than 500 hp. It will be a street driven weekend car w/ some drag racing at the track. Don't want to spend too much!

With those numbers I'd give Probuilt a try. Theres a few people here that use Probuilt transmissions and I havent heard any complaints about them. If My transmission goes thats were I'm getting a new one.

what type of tranny, and how much? I'm open to all suggestions. I'm not sure if I want to stay w/ the 700, or even auto for that matter. Throw out some ideas and details. Thanks

The transmission you will need is the Street/Strip, it will handle 500 + horsepower ok. The torque converter you need is the A.C.T. 9.5" lockup with about 2,200-2,400 rpm stall. This will work out great with the 3.45 gears and the blower setup you are planning on running. Let me know if I can be of help?

I wanted a transbrake too, and are we talking about a 700 here? How much complete? what does it included.
