?'s about putting a th400 in my z
I have a th350 in my car right now and came across a 400 that is in much better condition, I was wondering if anyone else has the 400 in their car and if they ran into any problems with the swap.

Transmission: TH400 4,000 stall
Axle/Gears: Currie 9", 4.56 gears
Got one in mine and the only problem has been a bad center support inside the tranny causing 1st and reverse to come on at the same time
That was fixed under warranty by the transmission shop. Other than that, no problems with actually installing it. Used my stock driveshaft, just changed the slip yolk to a TH400 slip yolk, bought the Spohn crossmember and torque arm, used a poly trans mount and a B&M trans cooler.
I bought the TH400 cause the engine plans at the time included a 454 but changed my mind to stick with a 350 putting out about 700 hp on the bottle
The transmission should be able to take more of a beating I can ever throw at.
