i have an 86 camaro 305 and when i get on it the tranny lifts like the brace broken but it is not. i look and checked the bolts and they were all ok. i was thinking it might be that i need springs but i don't know. Any help is appreciated.

 

tranny lifts ? how do you know for sure ?? rear mount busted ?

 

when i remove the shifter boot i can see the mark on the tranny. could a bad tranny mount let the tranny move that much. any help is appreciated.

 

Yes, a broken tranny mount will cause the tranny to move. Don't buy another "99¢ Special" transmission mount, get the Energy Suspension mount for around $25 and it will be the last mount you'll ever have to buy.
