i was just on B&M's website and noticed that the shortest cable they sell is 2 foot long. Could I use that cable and route it the way the stock cable is?

I know people have complained about the B&M cable, but I havent had any problem with mine...yet. I would guess you could use the shorter cable..but thatis only a guess

The only problem I found with the cable the came with my B&M shifter is that it's way too long and I had to put a big loop in it under my car so it didn't drag on the ground.

has anyone used a shorter cable than the one that came with the B&M megashifter and ran it in the stock location?

Of course you can. Some of the guys here have used the stock cable with there megashifters....I think the most important thing , just be sure the cable is not pinched or in a bind so the shifter can work as smooth as possible.
