Probably going to use the 4L60E, what is a good/cheap higher stall converter?

Due to finances and time, I may not have the chance to swap tanny's with my brother so I may be stuck with the auto for a while. I have the stock converter but my LT1 will have the LT4 hotcam in it and I'd probably be better off with a slightly higher stall speed. What are some decent ones that aren't too expensive?
Will ones from a 3rd gen 700R4 work?

Thanks

if the ones from a thirdgen will work as well then you might look into possibly picking up, from dacco/detroit, a stock vette converter. stalls at about 2400, especially with your mods and will only set you back 76 bucks + 25 core charge. they've stood up to everything i'v eseen thrown at them so far including 150 hp shots of nitrous multiple times down the track and street use.

check out http://www.atra.net/buyersguide/bgalpha/alphacd.html and scroll down till you see the dacco/detroit logo. i'd look under there and see which one falls closer to you. maybe i can get robert, mrr23, to chime in with the part number. hes the one who introduced us all to that converter. that guy is a parts dork. hit 'em up on aim if you want at mrrjjdh03 on aim/aol, or possibly venture over to fl-thirdgen.org and search through our boards. i know the part number is over there but don't have the time right this moment to look it up.

Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can find the part number I need.

Last 4L60E convertor I priced from Dacco was just $10 more than a 700 convertor, and that was just because most (I think) use the PWM convertor setup. The convertors for the PWM setup (which makes TCC lockup smoother) have a different TCC clutch material. When I rebuild a 4L60E, I get the Transgo kit for it, which does away with the PWM (and the worn valve body that results) then you don't need to have a 4L60E convertor. In fact, this is what I plan to do when I get to my S-10 project!

The 4L60E I have already has the TransGo kit in it.
So I can use a 700R4 converter now?

From what I understand you can. I forget exactly how it's worded in the transgo kit instructions, but it says something like this.
