When I first got my camaro, it would stay in 2nd gear at WOT up near the orange line on the tach (up to like 65-70mph), and it would downshift no problem if i was going as fast as 50-55 mph. Over time, it doesn't shift like that anymore. It only stays in second up to like 3500 rpm, and it won't even think of dropping down to second if I'm going over 40. What would cause this? I'm swapping to a 5 speed soon, so I don't care about fixing it. I would like to sell it if I can though, but if I sell it, I want to make sure the buyer knows what he's getting into.

 

Try adjusting the TV cable, that should solve the early shifts and no down shifting.
