is it posible to put a t56 in my 83 Z
im just dreaming about doun the road mods and was playing around with the idea of puting a t56 in my 83 z28 that right now has a 700r4 in it.
what do u guys think about this swap for my car seeing how it isnt one of the newer thirdgens or doea that matter at all?

It'll work just fine. You'll need the Centerforce flywheel if you've got a 2 piece rear mainseal block. Check out the tech articles section -

Engine: L69 w/ TPI on top / 305 4bbl
Transmission: `95 T56 \ `88 200-4R
You don't need the centerforce flywheel if you run the McLeod hyd. throwout for the LT1 T56, a 153 flywheel (83-85 L69 application) and a normal 10.4 diaphram clutch. The throwout isn't cheap, but replacement clutches are cheaper than the LT1 style clutches.
