Quick T-5 Swap question
I'm about to do my T-5 swap and i went ahead and took most of the center console out and i disconnected the wiring harness thing that goes into the auto shifter. well when i cranked the car back up i forgot to plug it in and it wouldnt start--
My question is that when i do the t-5 swap, what do i do with that harness? i'm not going to have anything to plug into it-- so is my car not going to start?? i dont want to get all done and have a dead car-- please help!!

Pretty sure the P/N switch on the shifter has to be closed for the engine to start (use your volts meter and figure that much out)
So does the neutral switch on the pedals. Run wires to this instead of the shifter. Done.

Fastest way: Clip the purple and yellow wires and tie them together or use a butt connector. This bypasses the switches, so you can start it immideately if you need to. Of course, this allows you to start the car without pushing in the clutch. When it's convenient, run wires up to your clutch safety switch.

The real fast, easy way, also known as the "right" way:
Find the plug with those color wires right by the pedals; unplug the extension wires that go over to the auto shifter; plug them into the clutch safety switch that is on your manual pedal assembly.
Don't cut and splice anything unless there's absolutely no other way. Wiring works so much better, without weird unexplained failures later on that nobody can figure out, if you just hook it up like it's supposed to be and don't rig it.
