I currently own a 1991 Z28 LB9 700-R4, i built a 355ci L98 motor for it and i would like to change the tranny while im at it for a tremec 5, i ws just wondering how much labor and $$$$$ would be involved in this. any help is appreciated.

swapping in a tremec 3550 or TKO from fortes is a pretty easy job, even if you dont have a lift it shouldnt take more than a day or so to do.

you need to buy the kit which comes with the transmission, shifter, adapter plate (bolts between trans and bell), speedo drive, slip yoke, adapter u-joint, cross member spacers etc.

its a pretty straight forward installation, i would go with an aftermarket shifter like a pro 5.0 though.

Do a search on this, its come up alot of times before, you could find some good information.
