2 Big Tranny Problems! Help!!
hey people, i finally got my t-5 swap complete and after about 5 miles of great gear shifting- my hydraulic line explodes and my driving fun comes to a stop in a hurry- Well i over-nighted the whole master/slave/hydro line and put it in tonight- everything went in flawlessly, but now, my clutch acts like its slipping-it was a brand new piece that was grabbing almost instantly(which was great) but now, it doesnt grab until about 5 or so inches or pedal travel? i'm pretty sure i bled the line right because when the clutch is pushed down, the slave cylinder moves quite a ways and all. ANY SUGGESTIONS?!??
also, the t-5 was from a 85 Ta with the mechanical drive speedo so i had to put in an electric sensor for a 91 T-5- correct? well, i did that and the speedo still doesnt work- any suggestions? I tried disconnecting the neg. battery cable so it would hopefully reset the ECU, but nothing worked- the plug fits perfectly and everything-- i dont know what to do-- please help me people

Is it possible that hydraulic fluid got on the clutch and is causing it to slip? or would that just burn off after a couple miles or so. OR do i need to keep bleeding the system to make sure it's 100% free of air. OR do i need to pull the tranny off and clean the clutch/flywheel area.. please help people, i cant really drive the car because the clutch slips so bad-

Actually, if you somehow got fluid on the clutch disc, it woould probably grab really bad, kind of like how brakes grab really bad if you have a leaking caliper. The fluid makes the lining soft and really grippy. But since the hydraulics are all outside the bellhousing, that's fairly unlikely.
Make sure your release fork is correctly attached to the pivot, you may have to pull the tranny to check this, but you probably won't.
More than likely you have the
EVIL AIR BUBBLE OF SATAN
. Some of you guys know what I'm talking about, you bleed the system for an eternity and a half and it's still not right. Buy a bottle of brake fluid, the epic-proportion sized bottle. Get a twelve pack while you're in town, this very well may take a while.
As for the speedo question, sorry dude i dunno
