84 700R4....what are the four wires that go to the trans....also question on lockup

84 700R4....what are the four wires that go to the trans....also question on lockup

I am in the process of ditching my computer on my 84 Camaro to go to a non-computer setup. There are four wires that lead to the trans. What do these do? Are they only for converter lockup? Also, I know the 84 model uses a speed sensor located behind the speedometer, which is plugged into the dash harness. I know this affects converter lockup. Will the lockup work without the computer hooked up, or does the signal not pass through the computer at all? Please remember this is an 84 carbed car. Thanks in advance.

I have a 84 Camaro and removed the ECM.
The 4 wires are for the Convertor lock-up. If you ditch the ECM you would have to get a lockup kit for it to work.

there are cheaper way to make a lock-up switch but here is on that 700r4.com sells:
