ok, i put the shifter in all nice and right, except we kinda didnt really know what to do with the wires, so we just did whatever would make my car start, well now the reverse lights dont work, the turn signals, the emergency lights do work, and also it sometimes starts in park, sometimes you have to put it into neutral, and the whole reverse lock out thing is a joke, i stalled my car cruising down a road because it let me push up to reverse, its an automatic, and its the megashift made for the console of a 92 whatever year, anyone know what the problem could be???

 

Hey whats up with it.I got a B&M and it works great.Didnt you have the instructions for wiring the two micro switches??

we just kinda jerry rigged it... i was wondering if anyone hooked it up in some way.... its getting kinda worse, i got stuck at the bank for like 20 minutes trying to get it into reverse today...

its more fun that way....except when you cant shift... oh yeah my whole console lifts up if i go past od, like...my stereo and everything, could that be because i didnt grind enough off the original plate??

I sent you the B&M Megashifter installation instructions via email. You need to clean that install up. You will be much happier (and safer).

You really didn't expect it to work correct did you? As far as getting into reverse, yes you can shift to reverse while moving--if you shift from 4th to R while pulling the little handle up. The reverse lock-out lets to shift from N4321 and 1234N without pulling the handle up. Make sure the cable is adjusted correctlyInstalled correct it's a great shifter, if you know how to use it.

 

what are you supposed to do with the park lock out cable?
