torque arm question

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but i'm doing a 700r4 to th350 swap and I'm having a hard time finding the torque arm mount that i'm supposed to get from the gm dealer. Can i drive my ride w/out a torque arm temporarily until I am able to locate the correct part? Thanks

There's nothing supporting the top of the axle, so the axle will likely rotate & break the shocks mounts, U-Joints, and more...

Do not drive without it!!!

Do you already have the B&M or Hurst swap kit?

I remember we discussed this very subject, so do a search here on the proper GM part # that supplements the B&M kit for the 700 to 350 swap...

I didn't think so. I already have the b&m kit, but it requires a part from gm. The gm dealers over here are about as helpful as a rock lifejacket. Sphons torque arms are out of the question. They are way too much money. I guess i could always call a gm dealer out of area. thanks

Torque arm mounts for a camaro are almost impossible to find locally. You can get an energy suspension poly one from summit for $11 + $7 for handling. You will most likely get it within 1-2 days if you order early. It's one single piece that uses your stock brackets. Much cheaper than going through the dealer and paying a grip for both pieces.

BTW, I have a 91 z28 5sp...so I'm not 100% sure if your torque arm mount setup is the same as mine.

The problem is, he needs the brackets. The ES part is just the rubber thing in the middle.

Fire, the thing to do, is to put your need on the classifieds. Post a description of what you need, not a part # (none of us know what that part # is). Or, post on this board, and ask people who used the B&M kit what part they used, that is what car it came from etc.
