My trans makes a clunking noise when going from reverse to 4th. It does NOT make this noise going from reverse to first though. Its not a u-joint or the trans mount either. It actually makes 2 clunking noises back-to-back when going from R to 4th. Kinda like something is engaging and then something else right after it. also there is a little slop (clunk/play) going from coasting in 4th back to acceleration. everything else works nicely just this irritating double clunk going from Reverse to 4th. Any ideas?

how about when to hit the brakes hard? sounds like the bushing for a torque arm
