I have an 84 z28 with t5 tranny. What are the proper part numbers of the U-joints front and back for an aluminum driveshaft that came out of a late 80's 1le transam?Also what model car would have the same U-joint specs as my car with an aluminum driveshaft?
What type of shop does driveshaft balancing?

Hey Dude,
You're in luck, i just replaced my u-joints yesterday. It was weird. My car had an aluminum driveshaft in it from the factory, and it's an 88. I hadn't taken my shaft out yet, so when I initially bought ones for a regular old Formula, we went back and they didn't fit. What you'll need is a combination u-joint by spicer(they're pretty strong), but you can get other brands if you like. I'll get the actual part number for it if you need.

How do you like your driveshaft? Did the wobbles go away at high speed.

 

Well, I bought mine just a few months ago and discovered it had it in there already. So, I've never experienced the wobblies even at 120. Lucky me.
