Swapped T-5 for Tremec 3550... Got lots of problems now.

ok I swapped out my t-5 for a tremec... Now I'm having strange vibrations all over. When I first start the car it will vibrate so bad the dash pad bends... it actually took out one of the screws. But as soon as I press in the clutch it goes away, let out the clutch and come back but at about 10% strength.

Next The transmission will make a whining noise like it is spinning if the clutch is depressed, and the tranny is in neutral. Put it in gear and it goes away.

Lastly the car will make a strange grinding/rumbling sound if I take off hard or cruising around with the gas petal down enough to stay at a steady speed. Let off completely or stomp on it and it will clear up.

Could this be rear motor mounts? U-Joints? Drive shaft? I just replaced the clutch, pressure plate, Pilot bushing, and throw-out bearing.

Oh by the way this is my first post so I'm kinda new to this

Nope.. I always worry about that so I end up checking it 3 or 4 times. It goes into gear good and shifts fine.

No I did not... But it has less than 1000 Miles on it. I suppose that could be the start up problem, but could that also cause the strange vibrations during acceleration and cruise?

Stock bellhousing or aftermarket scattershield? Did you replace the pilot bushing by chance? Did you replace the clutch disc?

You might have to pull the tranny and get the bellhousing and the adapter dialed in, or get an aftermarket bellhousing and have the same done. Sounds to me like the input shaft is out of line. If it actually is out of line, it WILL eventually destroy that Tremec. Do yourself a favor and STOP DRIVING IT until you get that problem checked out and fixed.

I havn't even really started driving it. I drove it from the place I was working on it back to my house. So I'm gonna head back over to the shop tonight and check it all out. I was starting to think it might be that the tranny was not quite aligned. Thanks for the help guys, and any more info would be very helpful.
