Ok so I just got a 90 305 iroc auto, and what kind of gears should I go with. The stock ones are 2.73 I think.

 

its your choice on how you wanna build your car. Someone else cant tellyou whick gear to get. If you just have a faily stock IROC then I wouldnt go over a 3.42 gear. Jumping from a 2.73 to a 3.42 will feel like you got 100 more HP. Check to be sure which gear you have now. the carrier may have tobe changed out. you should either have a 2.73,3.08 or 3.23. Do you have the RPO code G98? check for that code on the RPO list.it will either be in the cosole or in the rear glove box.

Well you have POSI so that is a start, look for an other G?? codes, something like GT# or GU# something like that, and plug all the G codes you have into the decoder on this site and you will find out what gears you have.

With Gear selection Bottled is right no one can TELL you what to get, but from experience of where you are and where you're going plenty of members can make excellent recommendations.

You need to decide if you are keeping the stock LTR setup or if your upgrading to Miniram or Stealthram or Superram? or converting to Carb?

Many factors need to be weighted before selecting gears.
