traction problems
Hopefully someone here can help. I have a 84 T/A it has a 305 lg4 with a edelbrock performer intake and 600 holley. My tranny is a 700r4 with a shift kit. The rear end is the stock 3.23's. I run a 10.1 is a 1/8 mile strip at 68.28 mph. Watching the recording halfway down the track I do nothing but spin until I am about a secong or two in second gear. Is there any aftermarket items that I could purchase to improve traction, besides tires and a posi ? If anyone has any ideas thatt would be helpful, it would be greatly appreciated.
Try lowering your tire pressure, I used to run 35psi in all four tires, but now I run 35 in the steers and 32 in the drives and it improved my traction.
I still get wheel spin when I launch over 2000rpm, but it grabs sooner than with the higher pressure.
If you are spending money, I hear the Spohn relocating brackets work.
