how do i know when a transmission is installed "correctly"?

Engine: Vortec 355
Transmission: TH-700R4
Axle/Gears: GM Axles and GM 3.73
how do i know when a transmission is installed "correctly"?

i was told that my front seal went out cuz of improper installation.........now how would i know it's properly installed when i put it back in after i get it fixed???

if the trans is on the dowels in the back of the block it's installed correctly. good bet for a replacement seal failing is installing it with the lips dry and it burning up on start up before oil can get to it.

ok so when replacing the seal one would have to put some fluid on the seal and then it will be okay.....right?
