TH-350 ????'s

Hey guys, I just installed the TH-350 in my 85 TA last night. but I have a couple of questions, firts of all let me say it is a street tranny so it doesn't have a manual valve body yet or tranny brake or anything like that but it will be shifted manually via a B&M pro-stick (racing only).

1: do I need to hook up the modulator ?

2: do I need to hook up the kick-down cable ?

3: what is the best way to plug the speedo hole ?

4: will the yoke from a TH-200 drive shaft fit the TH-350 splines ?

thanks in advance guys.

1 i would not sure if you have to or not
2 no
3 i made an aluminum plug on a lathe and used an o ring and the factory clip, i'd suspect you can find a pipe tap that's work and use a threaded plug
4i believe so, but not sure

You don't need the vacuum modulator if your going to shift it manually. If you don't hook it up and don't shift it, it won't shift itself. Does that make sense?

Take your speedo "bullet" to a full service auto supply and get a
cup plug/freeze plug that is a bit bigger than the "bullet" and
put it in the hole.

great !!!, thanks for all the replys. I am new to the whole racing thing and am trying to learn, + I'm doing it on a tight budget so not having to buy extra stuff like the kick down cable helps alot.

OH YEAH, one more question, I don't have the kickdown cable for the tranny, it has been disconnected right at the tranny. the only thing left is a little wire with a "Z" bend in it. if I leave that hole open will the tranny leak fluid from there ??

thanks again guys, as usual ya'll have been a HUGE help.

You can get a cup plug to fit that hole, too!
