Check it out. I got this guy from this web-site trying to sell me a 9 bolt rear for 200 bucks.
He says the rear is out of an 88 iroc, has 3.27 gears, has new seals and bearings and disc brakes.
Does it sound worth it??? Will these bearings or seals be bad since he said he sold his car over a year ago??? He says this is why he wants to sell it so cheap. I know nothing about rear ends, and If i decide to buy this thing, is it going to be worth it???
I wanna make sure I'm not getting scammed, and make sure this rear will bolt up in my 89' iroc currently with 10bolt drum rear.

please give me advice!!!!

It will be a series 3 carrier so you can upgrade to larger gears... if it was a 2.77 gear you would have to install another carrier too. If you want to swap gears eventually it's gonna cost a little more than a 10 bolt gear swap. I have no clue on the bearings and seal thing. I have a 9 bolt in my firebird. I know from installing my spohn tq arm the tq arms are universal between the 10 bolt and 9 bolt. All in all a 3.27 gear for street use is pretty decent.
From what I've seen 200 bucks is about the right price.

I would stick with the 10 bolt. Parts are much easier to find and less expensive. I have a 9 bolt and have been tying to locate parts for over a week with no luck and I am thinking of switching to a 4th gen 10 bolt and scraping out my 9 bolt.
