T-5 vs T-5 WC
I just need to know how to tell the difference between the two .........someone posted a pick .....but it was soooooo close ...I didn't even know what i was looking at . I really need this info ......is there a possible casting # .....or a special external feature that gives it away ?

Look at this pic. In the top half, observe a round object that looks like the back side of a freeze plug. That is the countergear bearing, in a 1st design T-5.
In the bottom half, the same object is about in the center of the pic; but you can see that it doesn't exactly look like an upside-down freeze plug. It looks like the center of it is sunken, leaving a "ridge" around the outside edge about 3/16" wide. The center appears dark. That's a 2nd design.
I'm sorry the 2nd pic is so unclear; but I don't happen to have any extra Wo.... Worl...... {puuuuuukkkkkke} sorry, I can't say it.... 2nd design T-5s laying around on the shelf at the moment to take a pic of.

actually ......where is this "freezeplug" looking thing you speak of
? ...... I am not exactely versed on the tranny parts ....or even what they look like for that matter

It's in the front surface of the trans, where it meets the bell housing. In the lower pic, the top right half of the pic is the bell housing, the lower left half is the front surface of the trans.
