Cracked bellhousing ear th350

Hello, i was thinking of just throwing in a used tranny...but...the tranny i have now is pretty good....well the other day i heard a noise...i thought it was a cam bearing but...no......it turns out that one of the ears on the bellhousing is cracked off....now...should i be ok driving this like that.....with 1 bolt missing?? or should i just shell out the cash for a tranny..?????

Its only one bolt missing

First thing to do is to figure out why the case cracked while driving down the road. That's usually considered a sign of something bad going on.

Then once you have a handle on that, it might be safe to use it with one bolt missing.
