B&M Mega shifter soo tight!!! NEED HELP

Gidday,..I just installed a mega shifter today in my car.

Problem is its soooo hard to shift throught he gears..everything is adjusted properly and I can select all gears but it seems soo tight and I have to really pull hard on the stick to get it to move. I've tried shifting the cable into different positions but it makes no difference.
With the cable un attached the shifter clicks through the gears easily, back and fourth...but as soon as I attach the cable its like trying to pull teeth!!!

Shifter is brand new outta the box..I need help...can't try the Nitrous out till I get the shifter workin..bugger!

Any solutions?

Mine was fairly stiff when it was new, they get easier after you use them for a while...

Just make sure that you go through the adjustment procedure in the instructions... Make sure the cable will slide EASILY into the hole on the trans linkage in park.. Then pull it back off, shift to reverse, make sure pin goes in EASILY... Repeat for all gears; if ok, then its adjusted right and you won't break your trans...

You'll need to give it about a week or 2. It needs to "break in" so to say. After that it will be easy as hell to switch gears.

mine took about a month to really loosen up. it was very hard to shift when it first went in.

now the only problem is heat. on a hot summer day, it WILL imprint the B&M logo on the palm of your hand.

Ok< I tried and tried to get this shifter shifting easily to NO avail. I even rang B&M and asked them what to do. They said " you need to make sure the cable is perfectly straight from where the mounting bracket bolts onto the Trans pan right throught to the selector arm".
So I did this, but it still was too tight and I mean bloody tight.

So, I pulled out the old cable and mocked that up so that I could try it...it was easier, way easier....So..bugger me I get the hacksaw out and cut the end off both shifter mounts where it sits in the console and weild the old cable bracket onto the B&M shifter base plate so that it can hold the cable plastic thingy correctly.

Whammoo...!!!! perfecto!!!
