12v tranny cooler/pump-racer needs insight

We all know heat kills trannies, and heat also causes inconsistent passes when there is'nt enough time to cool off between rounds at the strip. After running my car to death in 2 classses plus 2 Gamblers and the car falling off the number this weekend I need to know how to keep the tranny fluid cooler-I have the biggest 8 pass inline I could find. I was talkin to last years's and so far this years points champ and he was explaining how he has 2 NASCAR pumps, 1 for the rear end and 1 for the tranny, that he uses to cool his fluids between rounds for dead nut accuracy. I did'nt go into depth as to how it all mounted and worked. Could care less about rear end now anywyas. He did say he had his pan tapped front and back for -8AN lines that circulates the fluid. Now the question-how can this be done??!! Aside from the million dollar pump, I'm assuming it would only cool/circulate the oil in the pan? so after the pan fluid came down in temp you would have to start the car and circulate the cool oil out and pump in new hot oil then shut the car off? Or is there a way to plumb into the tranny lines themselves and actually make the electric pump push the fluid through the tranny/convertor so it works as a whole closed loop system that the car would never have to get started? He's running a Glide while I got a TH350 and the other guys interested in this set-up have TH400's don't know if there is any internal difference which would not allow this pump idea to work per-say. Any input you tranny guys/racers or pit crew help is apprecitated. Right now the first brainstorm for a pump is out of Nothern Tool & Hydraulics, 12V pump used for fuel & transfer applications it was either 1.4 or 4.1 GPM capacity with 3/8" or 1/2" NPT fittings and only weighs in at 5lbs. We were thinking of useing 3/8" braided or blue line, but 1/2" can work also-just need a circulating cooler for between rounds. Thanks.
