Im pretty sure it will. You have to have a v8 t5 bellhousing tho. I know a guy that has a v6 t5 in a 305 tpi. He said he gained low end but lost high end with it.

it will work but you will need the bellhousing for a v8......now how long that v6 "non world class" t-5 lasts is another question

Has everyone forgotten that a V6 car has a course input shaft spline, and a V8 car has a fine spline?

The trans will bolt up, but you will need a special clutch disk to make it work. Do a search and you will come up with the part number and manufacturer of the special clutch disk.

IIRC the clutch from the an astro van ends up being right, i don't remeber though, you can get the correct spline count, in a 10.4" clutch.

v6 clutch with v8 pressure plate.

But considering how fast you'll blow it up, I really wouldn't bother.

I know a guy that has this done behind a 305 TPI and its doing pretty good. I wouldnt do it tho. Id be afraid to run a t5 world class v8 tranny behind my 350.

go to McLeods website and order a 10 inch 14 spline clutch

the astro van clutch will not work because its too big (designed for the 168 tooth flywheel, which you cannot use either because the T5 bellhousing will only fit a 153 tooth flywheel)

the V6 clutch disc is too small, i know of people using it behind a V8 and it slipped horribly

get a truck bellhousing, even the old iron ones 67-72, but some of the 68 and older oens have 5" hole, we used a 68 iron sm318 bellhousing from a truck when we put in a sbc400 in an 82 firebird that had a 2.5, we left the saginaw 4 speed in behind the 400, we had to dent firewall a little down at clutch pedal linkage under car to let the iron truck fork travel enough, i know someone with a 69 chevy pickup with a muncie car four speed with the 5" opening truck iron bellhousing, he carefully centered the tranny and installed the four bolts and hasnt had any problems yet even after a coupel years now.

there are two heights of throwout bearings though, would need tall truck version

Does anyone know if you can run a saginaw 4 speed with the factory hydraulic setup? Or would you have ot go mechanical linkage?

The stock one would probably slip, but I doubt that an aftermarket, such as a Centerfoce D/F would slip.

But honestly, a little slippage might help save the tranny from fragging all over.
