Typical life of a 700r4?

I've got 120k miles on my tranny, and it's running flawless.
I was just wondering when I should start to be concerned about mileage.
Should I switch to Synthetic ATF or keep the standard fluid changed regularly?

Thanks

If the transmission oil looks & smells ok, leave it alone.

And if it doesn't, leave it alone also.

i have one right now that has about 190k miles on it. It has a little hesitation going into first gear, but thats all i can find wrong with it.

i'd say if you have a trans cooler, change the oil often and dont go crazy with it, they'll last forever.

HEAT is the #1 killer of 700r4's ; the other is hitting reverse at 50 mph.

i have a HAYDEN, and mounted it in front of my radiator, they give you straps to attach it. You can buy them at auto zone, they are behind the counter.

A tranny cooler is an excellent, excellent investment for a 700R4 especially if you race it on the weekend or live in a hellish heat box like Las Vegas. I had no idea they sold them at Autozone, I'm going to go get one very soon.

wooohoo FIANLLY got my reman tranny installed, after they screwed me outta 100 additional bucks on parts they claimed i needed, total install bill...350, as opposed to the 240 i was quoted....but i didnt feel the urge to argue. ill take em to small claims court though heheh. itll learn them to CALL before they do any additional work. *not that they called one single time, not to tell me any problem they had I.e. flywheel and starter was trashed. didnt even call me to tell me the car was done!! wtf....oh well....if anyone lives in SC never go to hills transmission.

vette servo
B4C WOT upshift valve
shi t kit (No i didn't miss the "F")

Mine lasted about 25,000 miles.

they last on average about 100K behind 350's.
