Car: 83 Z28

Engine: 305 (LG4)

Transmission: THM700R4

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt, 3.23 non-LS

Strong 1-2 shift at part throttle

I had a rebuild of my 700r4 after 95000. Reason was because it wouldn't shift out of 2nd. After the rebuild I have alway had a much firmer shift from 1-2 on part throttle acceleration. Nothing that will churp the tires, but will jerk the car. Is this anything to worry about. It works great for WOT.

If they had worked with the accumulation, instead of against it, it would shift nice at part throttle and firm at WOT.

Is it hard on the tranny for the firm shifts?
