I currently have an 85 TA with the 10 bolt drum brake rear. I have an opportunity to "upgrade" it to a 9 bolt posi with disks. My biggest concern is with the 2.77 gearset that the 9 bolt currently has. Would most likely want to change that, and worried about what that would cost in addition to the initial cost of the 9 bolt(125 asking). Anybody got a ballpark figure on the gear set change?

Wanted to know what anyone thinks about the swap in general, would it be worth it? Anybody here done this swap.

Or would the money be better spent in converting my current rear to disks.

BTW, the TA has a stock 305, so no great amount of hp to consider just yet.
