break in on reman tranny??

break in on reman tranny??

so do i have to break this sucker in? use any special fluid ,and precautios?? when should i drain the fluid and swap out the filter??? its a GM Reman. tranny.

Slap it in and go. There is no real "break in" period or procedure. No special fluid is required, just change it at 30K.

Make sure the fluid level is correct, and the TV cable is set right. Go about 10 miles shifting it manually, recheck everything, go out and do approximate 1/2 throttle acceleration through the gears, and if everything feels ok, then try a WOT run, if anything does not feel right (long slide 1-2 or 2-3 shifts, 2-3 shift flare, etc.), get out of the throttle immediately. If everything feels ok, good.
