Im looking in Summit at the mega shifter and it says console model for 82-92 camaro/firebird for th200 and th700r i need one for a 350 turbo, would i order that one or would i have to order the console model for the 2nd gens, or if i just order the standard model will i just have to take the housing of of it?

I tried search, i couldnt really find what i needed.

Mine (assuming you talk about B&M Megashifter) came with 2 shift indicator plates. One for a 4 speed and one for 3 speed. The shifter itself had an extra stop for use w. 3 sp.

This was a couple of years ago thou..

Hope it helps.

The shifter doesn't really care what tranny is in the car, just how many gears it has. The 82-92 camaro/firebird megashifter is 3 speed or 4 speed. It will work find with a th350.

I have a used megashifter I just got. I have a 4 speed but it has a 3 speed indicator.

Doesn't matter. Now my 1st gear is just below the 1 mark. It comes with 2 indicators if you buy it new so thats no big deal. Mine didn't come with the template so I'll have to cut the top plate blind. Oh well...looks like a EASY install.

Thats the one, It comes stock waiting for a 3 spd, you need to pull a pin to make it 4 spd. I have the turbo 350, it bolted right up, an afternoon before work mod

Re: megashifter question

The pin that is in the back of the shifter towards the top near the shifter it self. You can go to there site and look at the paper work and it will show you where it is.

Gregdonna, I plan on installing this shifter in my 89 IROC 5.7/700R4 and I was wondering if it looks like I can substitute a ball shifter for the t-handle ??? The one in the pic.. Stone

Thank you, I had them made by SpeedDawg in Md. They are sweet. I sold my 92 Z28 so I might sell the Z28 one.. The lettering is actually inside the ball.

The threads are standard. stone
