engine or tranny?

today on the freeway,i'm going slightly uphill and i'm going about 75,i decide to punch it to pass a car and the car wouldn't go past 80 at WOT.on the way back going downhill i floored it and was over 100 no problem, was it just going uphill making it do that?i've noticed a slight vibration and when i let off the gas and then touch the pedal again the car kinda jerks kinda hard.is this engine or tranny related? Thanks

what gear did it go into uphill. you might have been at the top of you 3rd gears power making range. especially going uphill the car might downshift for power, but 700r4's are known for downshifting at WOT. the jerking might just be a little play in the tranny.

i was in 3rd,i was criusing for about 10 minutes, then felt like i had no more power.i never shift into OD,mainly because i dont drive on the freeway much.just recently, the idle stumbles around 500-1500 and when i start up i the morning the rpms go to 1500 then drop and it nearly stalls for a second, then back to idle at 1000 in park.
