I have the 700R4 in my '87 IROC-Z right now.

I am in need of new mount(s).

Can anyone tell me what the average price for them is and is it worth it to just have a shop do it? Any idea how long it takes?

I've never really been one that enjoys replacing transmission mounts.

 

as far as price just take a look on spohns page.. most people go with poly mounts instead of the stock ones which like to break a lot.. a trans mount has got to be one of the simplest things to do on one of these cars... i'd say 40 mins tops cause it might take ya a while to put the car on jackstands so ya can crawl under it.. after that its just a few bolts n jackin the trans up n inch or so..

 

its fairly easy to change.

about 20 to 25 bucks is a good price for a poly tranny mount.

it should only take a shop like 10 minutes tops, since they would have all the tools to do it quicker.

 

Any idea how fast Spohn is in terms of shipping? I am in need of one "quick".

 

if you need one that quick just go to ADVANCE auto parts, they sell them for the same price and have them in stock.
