had some problems with my 700r4, it was poping out of 2nd tor the thing down and figured out that the band was burnt. So i replace it and while i was in there i installed some springs from a shift kit in to make the 2-3 more snappy.

This was intermittant at first but now all the time.
-the car will not shift out of first under 5000 no matter what.

-the car will not shift into 4 under 5000 (that's like 120mph)

it seems to favor 2 and 3 it starts out in 2nd then shifts into 3rd just fine. mind boggling.

what i've done is changed all the settings and positioning on the tv cable makes almost no difference. made sure that the fluid is full and of a good color.

i made sure that all the check ***** were put back into place. there were 2 in the outer most part of the valve body i though there were 3 but the book only shows 2 this may be my problem or it may be elsewhere. But i think it's in the valve body somewhere. i just don't know enought about the thing to diagnose the problem.

any help you can give would be great i'm in a rut here

 

i installed a b&m shift kit and i believe i had 1 checkball left over. so i don't think that's your problem. sounds like maybe a rebuild could be in your future..


maybe Pro-Built can help ya...he helped quite a few people on here.

 

everything in the tranny is new.
