Trans-go on a high milage tranny

I have a stock 700r4 with 82k. As of now, it shifts fine but they are slow and severely delayed when manual shifting. Will it be ok to install a transgo shift kit or just wait to get a new built tranny and just swap it? I can't really have any down time as it is my daily.

The TransGo will help prolong the life of the tranny. I also reccomend the larger Main Boost and Reverse Boost valve, especially if you do alot of manual shifting.

If the fluid still looks ok?, and there is no or very little slip, then going to the Trans-Go Performance Shift kit with accumulation, Corvette servo, and boost valves can improve your situation. Or you could get a transmission built (with torque converter) and keep driving this for now, just take it easy if you want it to last. I would try the shift kit if everything seems to be ok.

I was wondering the same thing about my 700R4. I do notice a little bit of slipping but its not too bad. Other than the minor slipping and a little bit of a delay in shifting its in good condition. It has almost 100k miles on it now. I also do a lot of manual shifting. So if i put a Transgo shiftkit in and corvette servos and boost valves would this help or would it need a rebuild? I dont have the money right now to buy a new one or rebuild this one.

As stated above, it couldn't hurt.

The fluid still looks good. I don't think it is slipping, you can feel it stop pulling upon shift and once completed you can definately feel it come back, but I figured that was just a slow, soft shift.
