Which Converter to choose

Right now i'm looking at getting either the TCI Streetfighter converter or the B&M 3000 Holeshot converter. Would like to here some people's opinions on these converters. Or if there is any other converters out there around 3000 stall for relitivily cheap.
Thanks

First, "stay away" from B&M, their comeback/failure rate is very high, TCI is a "little" better. Second, if you want a stall that is over 2,200 rpm, I would advise against using a 12" stock diameter torque converter. Anything over 2,200 rpm starts to drop the torque multiplication, create more heat, are slippery feeling, etc. You will have to spend some money if you want to do this right.

I have a 2800 stall convertor from Midwest and it is working great. I agree with Pro-built, stay away from B&M.

Does midwest have a website? I have a dayco 2300-2500 rpm stall and havent had any problems, I think it was about $260, but i was thinking about a 2800-3000 rpm stall to get a quicker time...eh?

The "cheap" way to get a stall (2,200 rpm & higher) is to use the 12", and lockup only. They get slippery, produce more heat, are inefficent, etc. An 11" would be a little better, but 2,400 - 2,500 rpm would be maximum if you want good driveability. There is no good way around this. 10" or 9.5" is the way to go if you want to do this right.
