more power, hope drivetrain will suffice!

Hey all. Whats up. I am getting an L98 engine built (hopefully) thats making about 340 or so HP on it and probably about 380 torque rougly?? Now, my tranny has been rebuilt, with corvette internals, so I would think that thing should hold up. Will the back end of the car hold up to that much power ok? Or is that going to be a problem.....I don't drive fasts all time or anything...once in a while, I punch it, but not most of the time!

thanks!

I would not worry about the drivetrain with that horsepower (if you actually make it). What did you have before a 6 cylinder?
Also, remenber just don't do anything Dumb or Insane and it will hold up.

hey there. It was a 305. I will get the 350 HP, its not like its all that hard to get to. Just gotta pick the right parts and do a good job of puttin it together (got mechanics helpin me Well good to know it'll hold up. I don't do anything dumb like neutral drops or race with it, so that works! Thanks for the response!

Are you staying tpi? If so you will probably have to go with an aftermarket intake or converted LT1 intake if you hope to make that power. The tpi in stock form really hampers power.

nope no more TPI. I looked at what all of that computer controlled mass of parts would cost me in the long run of settting up and decided against it. Too expensive. Looks like a carb is on its way!

You might make over 300 Hp with the right heads and cam, but not with a TPI.

good. its gone!! NO TPI. too many computer parts, and hampers performance too much unless a LOT of money is spent! Seems kind of crazy to me!!

cheers
