Put in a stock tranny mount and vibration is gone.
When I put the ES poly mount in the car a month or so ago, I noticed a Vibration in Drive at 2K rpms. I wasn't sure if the vibration was there before since I drove the car in OD when I first bought it 2 months ago and in OD I didn't feel any vibration at 2K with the ES mount.
Well, the bolt I was using in the mount stripped the threads in the ES mount since the bolt was too small and the supplied bolt didn't fit into the slot in the crossmember. So I put in a stock one I found in my garage and now the vibration at 2K in Drive is gone.
Just wanted to let you guys know since we talked about this a month or so ago.

Did you use that thick shim that comes with it? ES says you MUST use the "pre-load" shim, but everybody I know that used it got a vibration that went away when removed. Shimming the mount is a trick used to adjust working angles in the driveline, but if they are fine, adding a shim will throw them out of spec and induce a vibration.

I did use the shim with the ES mount.
When I found the stock mount, I think it was from a T56, there was a bronze shim next to it that looked just like the ES shim, but I didn't use it. Was I supposed to use the shim with the stock mount?
