Torque converter and rebuilt tranny???

alright i'm getting the tranny rebuilt and i was wondering how important it would be to replace the torque converter? It works great and isn't all that old however there may be metal dust and shavings in it that could find their way back into my freash tranny. How often does this happen?

A high stall TC is one of the best mods you can do. I highly recommend getting a higher stall 9 1/2" to 10" converter.
