I nailed a curb and cracked my rear axle, and smashed the inner part of my drum brake assembly. I was reading up on tilstad's posts about his bent axle but my situation is a little different so I thought I should make a post. My car is a 92 Camaro RS with a rear drum brake set up, its got a 10 bolt rear end, and from the other post I found I need a 28 spline axle for a 10 bolt rear end used in 88-92 f bodies (correct?). One concern with the axle is if I will be able to push it out from the inside as it snapped just inside the rear end housing, right before the drum brake assmebly, any tips? Also what is involved in the brake swap, and do I have to bleed the brakes and everything like that? The brakes had actually just been redone, so Is there any parts to reuse in this? Anything else I need to check and make sure didnt brake when this happened? The other wheel still works normally so I dont think any of the gears are broken, but how do I check that? Any help greatly appreciated, I dont know too much about this
